Palmetto-Peartree Preserve
Located in Tyrrell County, North Carolina the preserve provides outdoor recreation, environmental education, and economic development opportunities for local residents and visitors.
With abundant wildlife and acres of forest to be explored, there is much to do and see at the preserve. Come visit us and learn about the local ecology, hike the boardwalk trails, paddle the waterways, and catch a glimpse of the rare red-cockaded woodpecker.

The North Carolina Recreational Trails Program is funding the construction of a parking and restroom facility at Navy Tower Road.
Construction will soon be underway on two new land-based and water-accessible camping facilities at the preserve.
