Located in Tyrrell County, North Carolina the preserve provides outdoor recreation, environmental education, and economic development opportunities for local residents and visitors.
With abundant wildlife and acres of forest to be explored, there is much to do and see at the preserve. Come visit us and learn about the local ecology, hike the boardwalk trails, paddle the waterways, and catch a glimpse of the rare red-cockaded woodpecker.
Our donors choose to invest in the Fund because of our commitment to safeguarding their privacy, exceeding industry standards for use of funds, limiting mailings and ensuring gifts directly support conservation.
Meet the critters, hear the story and see the beautiful natural setting of the Palmetto-Peartree Preserve. Our thanks to UNC-TV's North Carolina Weekend series for this feature story.
